壺井一歩(つぼいいっぽ)・作曲家
1975年生まれ。東京音楽大学作曲専攻卒業。作曲を阿部義人、有馬礼子、池野成、藤原豊の各氏に師事。
「星投げびと」で2003年度武満徹作曲賞第4位(審査員ジョージ・ベンジャミン)。
同作品で第14回芥川作曲賞ノミネート。
第1回日本ギター音楽作曲コンクール優秀賞。
第2回大阪国際マンドリンコンクール作曲部門1位。
第20回奏楽堂日本歌曲コンクール作曲部門1位。
第2回「山響作曲賞21(山形交響楽団主催)」受賞。
オーケストラ、吹奏楽、室内楽、ピアノ、合唱、声楽作品をはじめ、邦楽器やマンドリン、舞台のための作品など活動は多岐にわたる。
出版楽譜多数。著書に『心に響く「短調クラシック」入門』(廣済堂出版)がある。
兵庫県宝塚市出身。
茨城県水海道市(現・常総市)に長く暮らしたのち、現在埼玉県川口市在住。
Ippo Tsuboi / Composer
Born in 1975 in Takarazuka, Hyogo Prefecture, Ippo Tsuboi graduated from Tokyo College of Music with a degree in composition. He studied with Yoshito Abe, Reiko Arima, Sei Ikeno, and Yutaka Fujiwara.His orchestral work “The Star Thrower” received 4th Prize at the 2003 Tōru Takemitsu Composition Award, with George Benjamin serving as jury chair, and was nominated for the 14th Akutagawa Award for Music Composition.
His works have been recognized in numerous competitions, including the 1st Japan Guitar Music Composition Competition (Excellence Award), the 2nd Osaka International Mandolin Competition (First Prize, Composition Division), the 20th Sogakudo Japanese Song Competition (First Prize, Composition Division), and the 2nd Yamakyo Composition Prize 21, presented by the Yamagata Symphony Orchestra.
Tsuboi composes across a broad spectrum of genres, from orchestral, wind ensemble, chamber, piano, choral, and vocal music to works for traditional Japanese instruments, mandolin, and the stage. His scores are widely published. He has also written books introducing classical music to general audiences.
He was born in Takarazuka, Hyogo, lived for many years in Mitsukaido (now Joso City), Ibaraki, and currently resides in Kawaguchi, Saitama.
